Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy

Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) is a specialized physiotherapy approach used to treat balance disorders, dizziness, and vertigo caused by inner ear dysfunctions. Conditions like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), Meniere’s disease, and vestibular neuritis often lead to unsteadiness and motion sensitivity.

VRT includes exercises that promote gaze stabilization, balance training, and habituation therapy. Canalith repositioning maneuvers, such as the Epley maneuver, are effective in treating BPPV. Strength and coordination exercises improve stability, reducing fall risk.
